Fees and Payments

It is important that you are well informed about the costs of any treatment prior to surgery. If you would like an estimate of hospital costs, please phone 03 375 6101. Note that the final cost of any operation may change.

Health insurance

We accept all medical insurance, including Southern Cross Health Insurance. If your treatment is covered by insurance, ensure that you have pre-approval for your treatment.

Some insurance policies may have a co-payment or excess, so please know what your insurer covers.

St George’s Hospital invoices

When you have received your invoice, forward it to your insurance company (if applicable), otherwise payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

How to pay

For some procedures, you may be asked for a payment before your procedure. This is due five working days prior to your admission date.

We accept cash, EFTPOS, internet banking or credit card (Visa and Mastercard accepted).

Refer to your invoice for the bank account number.
